Halkidiki 9 Day Weather Forecast (24.09-02.10 2011)

Weather Summary

Well, the rain certainly came and brought some local flash floods and some rather spectacular thunderstorms, you can see some of our photographs of the lightning on our Facebook page. Our forecast was spot on, which I’m pleased with as it was a difficult spell of weather to predict.

This weeks weather: The weekend will be fine, dry and feeling warm but with more in the way of clouds around on Saturday, the rest of the week will be generally sunny to partly cloudy but feeling mild. Temperatures will start to drop slightly as the week goes on and the month ends with highs this weekend of 26c and falling to around 21c by the start of October

Outlook

Looking further ahead into October and the weather seems set to be generally pleasant with the chance of some more rain around the 4th, but nothing heavy.

The rest of the month looks average for the time of year with lots of dry weather interspersed with some days of rain, we’re watching a weather system that could bring some wet weather between the 10th and 16th and another around the end of the month. Temperatures will average from around 20c at the start of the month, falling to around 17c by the end of the month.

November looks set to start fair with temperature holding up at around 16c.

If you’re wondering what the weather is like here at any time of the year that is outside the range of normal forecasting, you can always check out the ARCHIVE section on the right hand side. This will give you access to past weather forecasts and conditions though out the year.

Cold, cloudy with rain/wet snow

Halkidiki 9 Day Weather Forecast (06.09-14.09 2011)

Weather Summary

A gradual change will take place as head deeper in to September, but nothing major. Temperatures will be average for the time of year with daytime temperatures around 27c. Night temperatures are becoming more comfortable and will average around 23c. There is a chance of a couple of thunderstorms and a stray shower on Tuesday (6th) and Wednesday (7th), these should be confined to the mountain areas of central Halkidiki but may produce more in the way of cloud in other areas. The rest of the week and the weekend looks set to be fine, warm and dry.

Outlook

As we are coming closer to the change of seasons, I’m going to try something I’ve never done publicly before and predict the general weather throughout September and into the first couple of weeks of October. I have attempted this personally before with reasonable results and my forecasting techniques and accuracy have improved enough to all me to give this go. Weather forecasting becomes more difficult as we change seasons from summer to Autumn and from Spring to Summer, so I consider it a bit of a challenge. Please remember, these are just my predictions based on my techniques and I can’t promise total accuracy [read about our forecasts here]…so, here goes.

September:

First half will be generally fine and dry with plenty of warm sunshine around. Towards the middle of the month, we may see some thunderstorms and patchy showers. Towards the end of the month there is potential for more in the way of rain but these should be just showers rather than pre-longed periods. Average temperatures will range from 28c at the start of the month down to around 25c by the end of the months and night time temperature will range from 23c to 17c for the same period.

October:

The first week of October should start generally warm with temperatures around 24c but there is the potential for a change as we head into the second week with rain and cooler temperatures down to around 16c.

If you’re wondering what the weather is like here at any time of the year that is outside the range of normal forecasting, you can always check out the ARCHIVE section on the right hand side. This will give you access to past weather forecasts and conditions though out the year.
