Remaining cold with some rain and snow in the mountains thanks to an easterly wind direction, the only exception being Saturday when temperatures will rise briefly to 13c before more cold weather pushes its way in.

Outlook

Looking further ahead, February looks set to remain rather cold with perhaps a spell of very cold weather towards the end of the month. The long range models are now showing signs of a significant change as we head into March with milder temperatures (finally) which should reach around 17c. March can be a mixed month weather wise as the transition to spring starts to take effect We’ll keep a close eye on the milder weather and as always bring updates in our forecasts and on our Facebook page.
