Halkidiki weather forecasts will resume on February 1st

Due to popular demand, our weather forecasts will resume on February 1st :-D

We were going to start publishing the forecasts from April, but we have had such a high volume of requests for these forecasts, we have decided to start them running again sooner. We are also going to continue running forecasts throughout the full year, not just for the summer season.

Our forecast will also be available on our FACEBOOK page, via your MOBILE and new for 2010, on our TWITTER page.

You can also subscribe to the forecast by RSS and have them delivered directly to your desktop!?

Weekly Forecast (24th July to the 31st July)

High pressure is in charge dragging up some very hot temperatures from the Sahara! This weekend is going to be very hot (Friday and Saturday in particular). Things cool down a little during the week only to see temperatures rise again by the end of the week.

Weather warnings are in place for extreme temperatures. Also the fire risk is very high!

  • Friday 24h – A lovely clear day with very hot sunshine. Temperatures reaching of 37°C (43°C)
  • Saturday 25th – An extremely hot and sunny day. High Temperatures of 40°C (50°C)!!!!
  • Sunday 26th – A welcome breeze in the morning but still hot, clear and sunny with highs of 35°C (44°C)
  • Monday 27th - A mainly sunny day with some clouds around. Feeling fresher with temperatures of 32°C (38°C)
  • Tuesday 28th- A clear sunny day with highs of 33°C (36°C)
  • Wednesday 29th – A full day of unbroken sunshine. Temperatures of 32°C (33°C)
  • Thursday 30th – Another day of sunshine and turning hotter. Temperatures of 34°C (36°C)
  • Friday 31st – Mostly clear with the chance of some cloud but still hot and sunny with temperatures of 35°C (37°C)

The temperature marked in RED is what it will actually feel like. This is called the HEAT INDEX. This is a combination of the air temperature and the relative humidity and comes into effect when the temperature rises above 20°C.

Over Night Temperatures are currently around 27°C

Another hot and sunny week to come with temperatures at or over 33°C all week and even warmer the following week!

  • Friday 12th – A mostly sunny day with some cloud around. Feeling rather humid with temperatures of 33°C (39°C)
  • Saturday 13th – Another mostly sunny day, still with the chance of some cloud in the morning. Temperatures around 32°C (33°C)
  • Sunday 14th – A bright, clear and sunny day. Temperatures reaching 32°C (35°C)
  • Monday 15th - Another clear and sunny day with highs of 33°C (35°C)
  • Tuesday 16th- Turning warmer with sunshine and clouds. Temperatures of 34°C (40°C)

  • Wednesday 17th – Clear hot and sunny. Temperatures of 33°C (40°C)
  • Thursday 18th – Sunny and hot with temperatures of 34°C (41°C)
  • Friday 19th – A hot and mostly sunny day with temperatures of 37°C (41°C)

Very Hot Weather on the way!

There is some very hot weather on the way with temperatures up to 37°C (feeling like 47°C). It arrives this weekend.

An average week to come with sun and some cloud along with the chance of a thunderstorm. Temperatures are slightly down on recent weeks but it will still feel nice with an average of around 28c.

  • Sunday 31st – A pleasantly warm day with some clouds around. Temperatures reaching 25°C (27°C)
  • Monday 1st - A sunny morning but then turning cloudy with the risk of a shower in the late afternoon. Turning humid as warm, moist air arrives from the south west.  Temperatures of 26C (32°C)
  • Tuesday 2nd- Partly sunny and still humid with the risk of afternoon showers and an overnight thunderstorm. Temperatures reaching 27C (31°C)
  • Wednesday 3rd – A party sunny day with an increase in clouds and the risk of a thunderstorm in the afternoon. Heavy rain forecast overnight. Temperatures of 27°C (32°C)
  • Thursday 4th – Mostly sunny with some clouds at times and temperatures of around 26°C (29°C)
  • Friday 5th – A clear and sunny day with temperatures of 28°C (32°C)

A change is coming!

A change in the weather is coming! We’ve seen a massive increase in traffic for people searching for the weather here in Halkidiki, and although the recent weather has been cooler and showery, we are pleased to say the change to much warmer weather is coming! All the long range charts now suggest that much warmer air is due to arrive from the south very soon.
More details will be available from Friday in our regular forecast.

Today has been a lovely clear, sunny day with temperatures of 20°C.

Weekly Forecast (17th to the 24th April)

The weather for this coming Easter weekend looks fine and relatively warm but maybe somewhat cloudy. The following week looks rather unsettled with rain to start with but improving towards the end of the week.

  • Friday 17th – Sunny with light winds and temperatures of around 20c
  • Saturday 18th – Partly sunny with light winds and temperatures of around 20c
  • Sunday 19th – Partly cloudy with light winds and highs of 22°C
  • Monday 20th - Cloudy with the possibility of a light rain shower with temperatures of around 18°C
  • Tuesday 21st – A cloudy day with the possibility of a light rain shower . Temperatures of around 16C
  • Wednesday 22nd – Cloudy and cooler with rain and wind, some heavy showers at times with temperatures of around 14°C
  • Thursday 23rd – Partly cloudy and cool but staying dry with temperatures around 15°C
  • Friday 24th – Improving with mostly sunny skies and highs of 15°C

Looking further ahead, the final week of April looks set to be a mix of sunny spells and times of cloud with top temperatures of 21°C.
