There is some very hot weather on the way with temperatures up to 37°C (feeling like 47°C). It arrives this weekend.

Weekly Forecast (1st May to the 8th May)

The weather for this coming weekend looks set to be mostly sunny with the chance of a shower on Sunday afternoon. The following week looks rather mixed with the chance of showers on Monday and Tuesday but otherwise sunny spells and feeling pleasant.

• Friday 1st – A weather system pushes though bringing some cloud and rain with temperatures around the 17°C mark.
• Saturday 2nd – Partly cloudy but clearing leaving a sunny afternoon with temperatures of 19c
• Sunday 3rd – Clear and sunny in the morning but clouds pushing in towards the afternoon with the chance of a light shower. Temperatures of 18°C
• Monday 4th - Partly cloudy with the possibility of a light rain shower, especially in the afternoon with temperatures of around 18°C
• Tuesday 5th – Partly cloudy with the chance of a light rain shower. Temperatures of around 19C
• Wednesday 6th – A mostly sunny day with clouds at times. Top temperatures of 21°C (26°C)
• Thursday 7th – Another mostly sunny days with some clouds at times and temperatures of around 20°C (25°C)
• Friday 8th – Mostly sunny and feeling warmer as warm air slowly starts to edge in from the south west. Temperatures around 24°C (27°C)

The temperature marked in RED is what it will actually feel like. This is called the HEAT INDEX. This is a combination of the air temperature and the relative humidity and comes into effect when the temperature rises above 20°C.

Yesterday saw another fine and warm day with just a scattering of high cloud later in the day. Temperatures reached 22.5c in Polygyros.
Today the clouds have moved in as forecast although there is still some hazy sunshine and  temperatures are are holding up, currently 21.7c in Polygyros.

Another fine, warm and sunny day across Halkidiki with temperatures up to 22c here in Polygyros. The sun is also strong now.
