Nikiti
The village of Nikiti sits at the top of Sithonia and is one of the oldest villages in Halkidiki with its history dating back about 700 years. The village has a 30km coastline with magnificent beaches which also hold the prestigious blue flag award which acts as a guarantee to tourists that a beach they are visiting is one of the best in the world. There is a traditional market every Friday in the village from 08:30 to 13:00 where you can buy local produce including the world famous Nikiti honey! Try different kinds of honey from pine tree honey, flower honey, fir honey, sousoura (heather) honey and orange bloom honey. There are many restaurants, bars, cafes around the village along with other shops selling local handicraft. There are 2 main supermarkets on the main road, 2 pharmacies and a number of ATM machines.
