Neos Marmaras

Neos Marmaras is the creation of refugees from the 1922 Asia Minor Disaster.Until their arrival,the area was the property of the Gregoriou Monastery on Mt.Athos.The buildings of its metochi,dating from 1905,and the Church of the Dormition of Virgin still stand in the eastern part of the town.There are also ruins of the tuttered wall of the Byzantine period wich protected the harbour.

Since 1970,Neos Marmaras has taken the people of Parthenonas into its community,while the setting up near it of a vast tourist complex has led to a great increase in tourist traffic,which has turned it into the tourist centre of the area.

Meliton Inn - Beach Hotel

The Meliton Inn Beach Hotel is a family-run business amidst a beautiful garden, situated on the calm and idyllic natural beach of Paradisos.
