Kallithea is popular with sun-seekers of all ages A pale sand beach meets a bright blue sea at this fun and friendly resort. But it doesn't stop there. This lively place makes sure you're equally entertained well after dark too.

On the western Kassandra peninsula, a fantastic beach looks across the water to views of the hills of Sithonia. On its own green hillside, backing the sands, the village has a wide range of restaurants and tavernas – for everything from pizza and pasta to traditional Greek dishes and British favourites. Visitors to Kallithea won't be short of discos and bars either. On the beach there is the temple of Ammon Zeus, and next to it is the Russian-style church of St Panteleimonas and also a great invention for the years of 1850, an irrigation channel.

Kallithea is 85Km from Thessaloniki.

The pale, golden sands that stretch along the beaches of Kallithea are ideal for families and those that wish to soak up the marvellous Greek sunshine.

The resort offers a fine selection of restaurants with a wide range of cuisine, from local specialities to traditional English meals. A selection of wines are also available, with Macedonian types being particularly popular.

Nightlife

Kallithea's nightlife is very busy in July and August, with lively bars and open-air discos. Live entertainment can also be found but the resort does tend to wind down from September, throughout the winter months.

Shopping

Kallithea's shopping offers all the basics, clothes and tourist trinkets. The local speciality honey is delicious and definitely worth a try.
