Coming soon...

Beyond the outstanding natural beauty of Halkidiki’s famous coastline, you’ll find another world. Wild, unspoiled nature awaits the visitor. Mountains and forests that reach up 1000 meters, spectacular views, abundant flora and fauna and the relaxing feeling of being surrounded by nature.

Mount Holomontas in central Halkidiki covers and area of roughly 130sq/km. There is a good road network which runs through the area with some wonderful scenic drives. The lower slopes you’ll find Kermes Oak, Turpentine Trees, Lentisk (Mastic Tree) and Juniper amongst many other varieties. Wild aromatic herbs, songbirds and partridges can also be found here too. The higher you go, you’ll come across northern European birds such as robins, wrens, blackbirds, and buzzards. This is an area of woods, grasslands, fields and hedges. Dense forest with some open areas can be found in the highest altitudes, with mostly beech, but also wild cherry, rowan, some oaks, and other trees. and flora, butterflies, and bird life are quite good, the latter including birds of prey such as eagles, eagle owls, griffon vultures, peregrines, and Eleonora's falcons, and black storks, some of which breed here.
