Pefkohori (meaning pine village) lies at the southern end of the Kassandra peninsula, and is backed by fragrant pine forests and has a long ribbon of sandy beach.

A little web of winding streets links the old village to the newer seaside part. Sprinkled throughout the resort and along the waterfront, there are ample shops for souvenirs and sun creams, a range of eateries from typical tavernas to steak restaurants and pizza places, and a variety of bars and cafes. The promenade is perfect for pre-dinner strolls. And there’s a disco at the northern end of the village.

Famous local products
Fish – seafood.
Colourful little boats offer daily cruises and the Flying Dolphins can take you to Sithonia, to the Holy Mountain or even to Skiathos, Skopelos, Alonnissos, Skiros and kimi.
The beach here is a long narrow strip of sand. Most hotels are along the sea front and so access to the beach is easy. There is also a pleasant paved promenade to stroll along breathing in the sea air as you go.
Eating out
Pefkohori has restaurants to satisfy most tastes. From local tavernas to pizzerias and steak houses. As with most resorts by the sea, it is always worth trying the local fresh fish dishes washed down with a bottle of fine wine.
The nightlife here is quite low-key. There are several tavernas and music bars which will keep you going late into the night.
Pefkohori has a good range of shops catering for all its visitors. You can peruse the sophisticated boutiques and jewellery stores or browse the souvenir outlets to find something to remember your trip by.
