The patron saint of N.Flogita is St. George, whose church is in the centre of the village and is decorated with frescoes. One kilometre away, there is the country church of St. Panteleimonas as well as the ruins of the old hospital which was burnt by Bulgarians during the German occupation. The most important characteristic of the village is its very clean sandy beach which is 1.5 kilometres long and 100 metres wide. The sea gradually becomes deeper and its bottom is sandy. A reef, at a distance of 50 metres from the coast is a natural protection for the swimmers. During summer months cafes, bars, tavernas and a cinema are open. There is also a football ground and a basketball court.
A feast on the names day of the patron Saint, St. George, Carnival celebrations on the last Sunday of Carnival with a parade of chariots and disguised people and after that the distribution of free wine and sweets.
