Pyrgadikia is a picturesque fishing village and is one of Halkidiki’s best kept secrets.

The village was founded in 1925 by Asia Minor Greek refugees who arrived here from the island of Afthoni, Marmara in the Black Sea. Pyrgadikia is built on a hillside which starts from the sea. All the houses overlook the picturesque harbor and Sigitico bay. The overall look is reminiscent of the island. The ancient city ‘Piloros’ was situated at the peninsula of Pyrgadikia.
Today, the village is a popular tourist stop off point while touring central Halkidiki and the eastern coasts. There are a few restaurants, a couple of supermarkets and of course cafe’s where you can sit, relax and take in the magnificent views.
