There's plenty to do for those who look to really get a feel for an area. With various boat cruises, islands trips and visits to Mount Athos and Thessaloniki you'll never be stuck for things to see.
•Settlement of Afitos: You are urged to walk through the village and to see the architectural details of the old houses that still remain. You are also advised to visit the house of Katsanis, the house of the painter Paralis and the house of the musician Mantakas.
•Parish church of St. Demetrius: It is in the centre of the village, and was built in about 1858, with local porous stone. It is the only "basilica with a dome" in Halkidiki and has a unique rustic stone relief over the windows and the belfry.
•The ancient quarry in "Moudounou": It is on the eastern boundary of the community. On the rocks one can see the cuts made during the extraction of the big rectangular blocks.

The Vrachos Apartments (which means ‘rock’) are located in an elevated position with
magnificent views over the Toroneos Gulf. There are a total of 13 rooms (4 double
rooms, 6 triple rooms, 1 apartment for 4 people with 2 rooms and 2 apartments for
5 with 2 rooms), all with a sea view and come complete with a kitchen, fridge, air-
