Go2Halkidiki.net is a site dedicated to the promotion of Greece’s secret paradise, Halkidiki. We are now into our second year following a very successful first year.
The intention of this site is give you, the visitor as much information as possible on the region.
For the visitor there’s everything you need to know to help make your holiday an enjoyable one, and for those wishing to make the move here, there’s a section with invaluable information on relocation.
The site is also designed as a place where businesses in Halkidiki, be it hotels, bars, restaurants, car rentals etc can advertise their business.
One site for all, we offer great rates for all your advertising needs, including web design and a professional photography service.
So, who are we, what are we about and how did it begin?
First and foremost we are a team. We have a vision, and that is to help promote Halkidiki as a top tourist destination!
So, here we are...
It all began in 2006 when I moved to Halkidiki. I am a photographer, I studied art & design at college in England and have always had an interest in photography and graphic design, then once computers came along, naturally became interested in computer graphics and, as the internet developed, so did my interest. I have gone on to work in the Graphic Design and Architecture industries and have travelled to many countries including Australia, America, Sri Lanka and Norway.
When I moved here in 2006, I started taking photographs of Halkidiki and had some fantastic feedback along with a lot of questions about Halkidiki. I was amazed to find that some people had never heard of Halkidiki, but once they had seen the pictures wanted to know more. This lead to my idea for a complete site dedicated to the promotion the region, so in 2007 it all began....
Working with my partner, Gefsy, who is Greek and without whose help and dedication this site would not be here today, we created what will be the number one site for Halkidiki.
Now let me introduce you to the backbone of our business. My partner in life and business, Gefsy.
Gefsy was born and has grown up in Halkidiki. Combine her knowledge of the region and over 10 years working in sales, alongside my experience of the internet, photography, art and design, plus 13 years working in technical/customer services in England, makes go2halkidiki.net a business you can trust now and in the future!
